The idea of giving permanent access from the Divine Path is a good one. I think this should be in addition to the current system. The members of the elite alliances benefit, because they can access Urgoz/The Deep without having to finish the game. The rest of can decide - do we want to spend 3 hours waiting for a taxi, or spend two minutes killing Shiro? Easier access means that people who haven't played it before will get more exposure to it. You can't get experience without being a n00b first.

Just open them up to ascended chars or those that have finished Factions. No need to complicate things.

I had a lot of fun in the Warren this weekend but not nearly enough time to practise as I had to fit it in between shifts. It's be nice if it wasn't just the guilds with most faction that can get to it. Same goes for the Deep - I know you can get taxis but tha'll end up costing you a small fortune and I'm assuming there aren't normally many players in there to pick from...

Have them available for Ascended characters or even the defeat Shiro idea.

I had a good time playing in The Warren this weekend. I've never seen the elite missions before so of course I didn't bother trying to join an "Elite" team.
Friday night, I joined a fun PUG. Nobody on the team had been in the mission before but I believe we had a good team of competent players. I played the role of trapper. We only made it as far as the locked bridge and resigned at that point because nobody had Necrotic Traversal. We did find 2 chests though and everyone had a good time.
I went back Saturday with another group. This time I brought my Necro and played as a BiP for the first time. I also brought along Necro Traversal so I was slightly more prepared this time. We had a good group. A couple of folks had beaten the mission before so we had a leader to guide us. Again we failed the mission but we got a lot further in this time. The bramble vine gates and shroud of silence did us in this time.
I had a great time on both trips and I think I performed decently well for never having seen the mission area before. (I could use some BiP tips). I'd like the opportunity to explore the areas more and hone my skills.

Ok I buy the comment about wanting good teams as these missions are exceedingly long. But on an open to noob weekend dont play for real help the noobs along. Also excessive DCing is a pain in the proverbial. If you are playing for real set up your team in your guild hall. (I cant my guild is too small).

The pros.-
- It still requires some effort to get in, but not too hard/depending on too many factors like ferry/alliance.
- People who want to get into Divine Path for some other reasons (capping the pet, trading amulet, crafting weapon/armor) will be able to do so easily because more party would be formed at the place at all time.
What do you guys think?

Rather than the Divine Path, they should be on that upper level of KC only accessible from Divine Path imo. You know, give that area a use...

What about....
Keep the NPCs, but:
Give 1000 Luxon Faction to get into the Deep
Give 1000 Kurzick Faction to get into Urgoz
Easy, but not a "giveaway".
i think this would be the best compromise.

i enjoyed playing at urgoz quite a bit over the weekend, and now i'd like to do it more often. perhaps the event sparked more interest in it and it won't be so hard to get a group anymore

With the current, you either can't get in, have to pay an exorbitant bribe to get in, have to lose an entire character slot to each location, or have nice people running themselves ragged to keep up a ferry.
None of these are fun options.

As someone who’s Guild once owned HzH I can honestly say that the faction system for elite missions is a flawed system.

That sounds like a better idea. Having to defeat Shiro everytime i wanted to access Urgoz would make me want to bother going even less than i do now.

Do it someway so that players can get there. I really like the Deep and Urgoz and I am still yet to beat Urgoz, and I really want to say that I have beaten it, got really close once but was screwed up by a really bad puller. I was surprised we got that far in the first place though.

If you want to get to the deep or urgoz there should be something you have to do.
In this case, it is to get in the guild that owns cavalon or HzH and do ab. Or just get a ferry from someone that owns cavalon or HzH.
This would ruin the deep, if you like the deep so badly ab for it or be patient for someone to come in and ferry you. People would ruin the deep and it would be too crowded and no use of it being an elite mission. There is a reason why it is called an ELITE mission.
The greens in the deep and urgoz would go way down, and you could get them for a mere 10k later on.

Sounds kind of like the favor argument...But then again, you can play PvE and still get faction but in very very very limited amounts.
Oh and on a side note, /signedpleaseyes.

I tell ya, I hate it when someone’s sole argument against changing something, is that the price of a green would fall and the REALLY TRULY leet players—not just us poseurs--won’t get as much for them when they try to sell it lol.
…And to follow it up, the solution is to defraud the already-hardworking Cav/HzH alliance members into thinking you’ll help them keep control, when all you want is to get in, then you leave a moment later?
/signed to change the Urgoz/Deep access in some way
Finish Factions, or “Befriend” the respective side, pay an NPC, donate faction, doesn’t matter to me.
Those who believe there are too many “noobs” in the elite missions, too bad. You do not have to take them in your team, do you? You’d rather have an empty district with no one to choose from, than an active district with possibly good, possibly bad potential teammates? OK, your choice.
/signed again for good measure, keep them open (in some way!)

My guild owns Cavalon. Well, my alliance. I am a member of [SOUL] but when I recruit, people say I'm a liar, and that we do not own Cavalon. It says [any] owns Cavalon because they are the leader of the alliance.
So, no, being '#1' is not enough for me, because apparently no one knows we even own Cavalon.
Regardless; I think there needs to be a better way to enter the Deep/Urgoz.
While many people agree with the idea of beating Shiro to get in, I disagree because many people would beat it once and then store their character in there.
If they do make it easier to get in (which they should), they should still give guilds/alliances that own towns a special privelage. Not just 10% reduction in merchant prices, but something more important.
In another argument, owning a town is nothing. They need to make that better. (I am working on an idea like that to put into this forum.)

Needs to improved somewhat though... I don't know any sollution yet.
Maby a spesific district or area of the Elite Missions for the guild that are #1. That way you dont "punish" ppl for not gaining faction, you reward those who do!
We are #2-#3 Kurzick alliance so a reward is still nice for the top alliances I think, because we struggle hard.
I also agree with the last man, owning tows should be more rewarding, like having a title for it (!) or something, then ppl know which alliance you are in... But that's off topic.
